Fully waterproof/windproof and breathable, with a woollen liner making it lovely and warm.

The ideal rug for your calf, this rug is different to any others calf rugs it's made to fit the conformation and the balance of the rug is best to none. With generous leg straps also front buckle and strap you will get extra mileage of wear out of this rug. This rug is ideal out in the weather elements or under cover.

The added benefit of these Canvas Calf Rugs/Covers/Blankets/Coats is that we have included a pouch in the liner of the rug to place a human heat pad. Some times if you don't have shedding or shelter and you want a robust cover for your calves these have proven invaluable.

Please Note: If you do place a heat pad in the pouch make sure that your calf is dry. Whilst the woollen liner is a wicking fabric and along with the canvas we don't recommend doing this. However if your calf is unwell and it is fully dry there shouldn't be a problem.

Not everyone has sheds to raise their calves in, one of the reason why ICU Small Animal Rugs started producing a Canvas Rug. They are resilient against wear and tear, adverse weather conditions and will keep your calf warm to maintain its body core temperature being made from cotton and wool you cannot get a better natural breathable rug.

Weaning calves is another scenario use for these rugs, you have put in the hard work of raising your calves and are looking amazing and you tipped them outside. Often you can have 1 or 2 dropped back in condition or will get sick. This is why we have made our extra large rugs that bit bigger to accommodate for weaned calves.

To help maximise the durability and life of your ICU Small Animal Canvas Rug please follow our instructions thoroughly to enable you enjoy many years of excellent and satisfaction.

1. Prior to using your rug we recommand that you throughly wet your canvas with a domestic hose and let it fully dry in the sun. This is necessary to allow the fabric to settle after transport and packaging.

2. Always store your rug packor roll up only when clean and dry.

3. Do not expose this rug to petrol or oil.

4. Remove any mildrew, as it appears, first by brushing, then by treating with diluted chlorine bleach ( 1 part White King to 4 parts water to achieve 1% available chlorine ) Allow to dry in full sun, then hose well to remove any residue.

5. Do Not Use Strong Bleaches Such as "Pool Chlorine"

6. Do not use soaps, detergents, solvents or other liquid cleaners.

If you are not completely satisfied with any part of your order, please return the items to us in original un-used condition with packaging within 28 days of purchase for an exchange or refund.

Once we receive your return parcel we will process your exchange order within 3 - 5 business days. If a refund is required we aim to process your credit card or cheque refund within 10- 15 days of receipt of returned goods.
